Symbolist artist Emile Fabry called on the architect Emile Lambot for the construction of his studio house in 1898.
In the midst of the birth of Art Nouveau, the architect designed a very sober small house slightly tinted with Art Nouveau, especially in the asymmetry of the facade.
The front door is surrounded by two terracotta reliefs made by sculptor Pierre Braecke.
A face adorns the keystone of the arch above the door.
The artist's studio is on the top floor under a large glass roof, the small wooden door under the large window was used to pass large canvases.
Emile Fabry collaborated with Victor Horta and Paul Hankar among others.
The red color of the doors and frames was chosen by the architect originally, and this choice is still respected today.
Little wink, the recently built neighboring house was designed with red frames...
