Built in 1902 to plans by architect Hector Maertens, for a Judge at the Brussels court.

Here is an astonishing and unexpected building in this unified buildings row from the turn of the 19th century.

The imposing house is made up of many details in Gothic style.

Surprising gargoyles, a medieval Italian tower, a gable decorated with a pointed arch, a stained-glass rose window that crushes the front door and the some figures straight out of our history books.

The tower planned on the original plan had a baroque-style bulb! Obviously the architect changed his mind.

From the end of the 19th to the beginning of the 20th century, architecture gave rise to completely opposite ideas!
