Vast mansion in an Eclectic "picturesque" style dating from 1935, designed by architect Jules Ghobert, best known for having created with Maurice Houyoux the architectural complex of the Mont des Arts in Brussels.
There are some ornamental elements in vogue at that time, plastered walls, white stone window frames, but the whole is quite distant from the pure modernist style of the 1930s.
The house was designed as a large country house on the avenue de Tervueren which was undergoing major changes in those years.
Evidenced by the large mansions and other residences that survived the promoters' excavators and which still border it today.
With private owners no longer able to maintain them, many of these large houses have become offices or embassies.
