Beautiful eclectic style corner house recently restored.
Facade on the Castro side, upper part in alternating yellow and black bricks, on a vast base in hard and white stone.
The windows are all topped by an elegant lintel and framed with a set of “geometric pads” bricks. Beautiful, sober and neat front door.
The facade on the Vandersmissen side has the same attributes but is decorated with several ornate stone balconies.
Theme found on the staircase which leads to the steps of the main floor.
Gaston Chambon was the son of Alban Chambon (Headquarters of the old CGER) and brother of Fernand and Alfred Chambon (New headquarters of the CGER). A family of architects of French origin established in Brussels since 1868.
