Corner house with a flat roof designed by Henry Van de Velde for Raymond Wolfers in 1929. No visible entrance door on this austere facade, it’s hidden behind the garden wall.
The yellow brick facades give a severe air to this large building, particularly the large blind wall on the rue Jules Renard side.
The Wolfers House is one of the finest examples of a Modernist street-side house built during the period. The austere style is particularly representative of architect Van de Velde, who signs here one of his latest private housing projects.
Classified since October 1983.
