A very good example of a terraced house, in the 50/60 style, - Spirou - well preserved. Attributed to Guy Doornaert, surveyor, it was built in 1960.
It differs from its neighbors by its two balconies painted in blue, a color that can also be found under the overhanging cornice, and especially by the position of windows placed at an angle. This brings a beautiful dynamic made of shadows and lights. Red was the original color, changed to blue by the owner.
It is therefore in blue that this facade is classified now.
The use of varnished natural wood laths, at street level, as well as the natural stones that frame the building are some of the typical elements of this particular style.
So is the richly colored ceramic handle that adorns the front door.
