Modernism

This style appeared in the first half of the twentieth century influenced by the German Bauhaus theories. Modernism is characterized by a return to minimal even minimalist decor, to pure and functional geometric lines and the use of new construction techniques.

It breaks with the past, notably Art Nouveau, Eclecticism and Regionalism.
