Architect Gaston Brunfaut, designed in 1937 for his cousin Georges, this simple and surprisingly contemporary house.

This is a well-proportioned terraced house, borrowing a few elements from the Streamline style such as stair railings and portholes.

An almost replica of this house is to be seen rue Ernest Gossart, 31 in Uccle.

He only designed a few private houses like this one, favoring collective works to which he gained access through numerous competitions.

He even went so far as to collaborate as an architect adviser on the construction of the UN headquarters in New York with Oscar Niemeyer and Le Corbusier.
