Municipal school built between 1937 and 1939 by municipal architect Henri Charles Wildenblanck in Art Deco-Modernist style, a remarkable testimony to interwar architecture. The school was intended only for children living in the municipality.
Combination of beautiful volumes, fairly strict ornaments in orange and gold ceramic, beautiful typically Art Deco inscriptions on both facades.
The inner courtyard features a superb stained glass window by artist Frans David Crickx and a magnificent Art Deco bronze chandelier.
Building listed in February 2008, undergoing restoration in 2020/21
