Institute founded by philanthropist Georges Eastman (founder of Kodak) in 1931, who built, in Europe and the USA, 6 dental clinics for underprivileged children.
The project was entrusted to architects Michel Polak and Alfred Hoch.
Works began in 1934. The building was inaugurated in July 1935 by King Leopold III and Queen Astrid.
From the 80s, it was occupied by European institutions offices.
Completely emptied and transformed in the years 2010, today it houses "The House of European History".
One can regret the high construction above the original building.
