Michel Mayeres built this impressive Art Nouveau house in 1904, in St Josse-ten-Node, which is worth stopping by.
This was his personal and professional home, designed in a very personal "Moorish" Art Nouveau style.
Little affinity with the other Art Nouveau houses of this period, one does not find there the lightness of Horta or the fantasy of Gustave Strauven.
Sgraffito adorned the tympanum above the top floor, as well as all parts today painted in brick red. These have unfortunately disappeared for many years.
Building listed in March 1998
