On the elegant Avenue de l'Echevinage, are some beautiful architectural achievements, some of which are really avant-garde.
It’s the case with this one, emblematic of the Streamline style, designed by architect Raphaël Delville in 1935.
The house, also called “La Maison des Terrasses”, was designed by superimposing volumes and shapes all in curves and horizontalities, without ornaments.
The most remarkable feature is the elegant round shaped awning of the first-floor.
Also look on the other side of the street, at No.3, the Dotremont house designed by Louis Herman De Koninck in 1931.
