Right in front of the Saint Gilles prison, on a tree-lined square, stands this very beautiful house designed by Paul Hamesse in 1907, in a pure Geometric Art Nouveau style.
One can feel the influence of the Viennese Secession.
Remarkable letterbox handle on the front door, probably one of the most beautiful in Brussels. On the right bay above the front door, all windows are different, taking on very particular geometric shapes.
For his signature, the architect used particularly neat typography.
The house has recently been remarkably restored. Listed since February 1998.
