Gustave Strauven signed this high five-storey Art Nouveau house here in 1902.

The architect was only 23 years old! The building already bears all the attributes of its exuberant style, with its colored bricks, floral ironwork, and very elaborated woodwork. During his short life, he died at the age of 40 in 1919, Strauven built around thirty houses in Brussels, the most famous of which is the Maison Saint Cyr on Square Ambiorix.
