Double house on a crossing plot, both designed by Ernest Delune, one in 1893, rue de la Vallée Nr 5, then the other in 1902, rue du Lac Nr6, for his client Victor Marchal.
The Rue du Lac house is a very original demonstration of Art Nouveau, with an asymmetrical facade, a remarkable entrance door with its circular shape surrounded by molded stones.
Masterful stained glass windows creation punctuate the facade. These are the work of the Austrian master glassmaker Clas Gruner Sterner who occupied the workshop at the top of this house, on the loggia level.
The whole shows boundless creativity. House to be seen at night when the stained glass windows are lit from the inside.
Cannot be visited. Building classified in October 2003, and recently remarkably restored by the last owners.
