  • Courtens Antoine

Remarkable luxury apartment building, designed in 1928 by architect Antoine Courtens (pupil of Victor Horta) in the purest Art Deco style. It shows a remarkable treatment of the street corner, thanks to its semi-circular rotunda running the entire height of the building, topped by a star-shaped bell tower, typical of Courtens’s style (which will also be found at the Hotel Haerens).

Located on the Rond Point de l'Etoile at the corner of Avenue de la Folle Chanson and opposite a few other fine examples of Art Deco buildings.

The building has not lost any of its splendor, thanks to the care taken at the time by the architect in the materials choice. The beautifully preserved marbles in the entrance hall testify it.

Building classified in August 1988 and October 2001
