Built by Ixelles born architect Albert Roosenboom in 1900, this house is one of the finest examples of Art Nouveau in the capital.
The sgraffito are attributed to artist Privat-Livemont.
The sculpted details are exceptional as evidenced by the letterbox elegantly connected to the shoe scraper.
It was classified in December 1981.
After years of abandonment and threats of demolition, in 2023, it was masterfully restored by the new owners. They pushed the detail to the point of returning the doors and windows on the ground floor to their original location (see before/after).
The ironwork has been remarkably restored. A true rebirth !
