On Avenue Gribaumont, not aligned on neighboring buildings, stands this astonishing English cottage-style twin house.
Built in 1922, at the height of the Art Deco era and attributed to architects Le Marchand and Ribaucourt.
A time which also saw aspirations to return to nature and the countryside.
There are a large number of houses in Brussels inspired by English cottages, with lattice windows, bow windows and half-timbering.
This twin house is however well insulated in the middle of typical city buildings.
The excellent general condition of the twohouses is to be noted, the woodwork being obviously original!
