Vast mansion designed between 1894 and 1897 by Victor Horta, in Art Nouveau style still tinged with Beaux-Arts. The building was commissioned by engineer Camille Winssinger.
Transformed into a rental building by the owner in 1928/29, Victor Horta partly modified the facade but especially the interior where the staircase was redesigned in order to install an elevator.
The building was transformed again in 1946, when the Insurance Company "Le Lion Belge" moved into the building.
The garden was condemned, and offices were built there.
An art gallery now occupies the ground floor (2021), La Forest Divonne.
The building has been listed since December 1984 (main facade, staircase, hall and mezzanine) and again in 2007.
