Louis-Herman De Koninck

  Born in Saint-Gilles on March 31, 1896 and died in Uccle on October 21, 1984.

A graduate of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels, a forerunner of industrial standardization and prefabrication, his achievements are very simple, very rational and avant-garde. He is also the creator of modern “Cubex” kitchens.

From 1940 to 1974, he taught architecture at the National School of Architecture and Visual Arts in Brussels (La Cambre).
