Jean Baptiste Dewin

Born in Hamburg (Germany) on July 6, 1873 and died in Brussels (Belgium) on July 13, 1948.

Mason and plasterer, he enrolled and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels.

The chance of a meeting led him to specialize in architecture for care homes, hospitals, clinics, dental institutes, maternity hospitals, medical schools... for which he watched, while respecting medical constraints (hygiene, ventilation, lighting), to create aesthetic and welcoming places for patients.
